HopeWorks Station II

HopeWorks Station II

Kirtley-Cole is currently teaming with HopeWorks, an affiliate of Housing Hope, as well as Dykeman Architects, GGLO Design and Beacon Development to construct the new HopeWorks Station II.

The new 4-story building totals 67,361 SF with 4 levels of wood-framing over 2 levels of concrete. It includes one level (23,117 SF) of structured underground parking. The first floor (14,283 SF) is comprised of commercial space housing a community hub and training academy, including culinary training facilities, teaching kitchens, cafe and event space. The three floors (29,961 SF) above are residential space that will provide affordable housing in the form of 65 apartment units. Solar panels will cover the roof to produce a minimum of 198,000 kWh per year for a net zero energy goal. The project will be LEED certified and is part of the International Living Future Institute’s (ILFI) Living Building Challenge Affordable Housing Pilot Program, in which participants seek to build homes that have no energy bills, are free from toxic materials, and are truly sustainable for future generations.

The project began in May 2018 and will be complete in Summer 2019.
